Overview
Red is a contemporary high fashion magazine dedicated to inspiring women through intelligent storytelling, timeless style, and modern living. With a refined balance of fashion, beauty, wellness, and culture, it offers a thoughtful perspective on what matters most today. Crafted with sophistication and warmth, Red invites readers to slow down, indulge in inspiration, and discover the art of living well.
Problem
Red magazine faced the challenge of creating a cover that reflects its sophisticated editorial voice while remaining visually striking and easy to navigate. The original design struggled with overcrowded text, competing typography, and low-contrast color choices, which diluted the impact of the imagery and made the content hierarchy unclear. This left readers with a cluttered experience that distracted from the magazine’s refined identity and core message.
Solution
To solve this, I created a cover that reflects Red’s elegant editorial identity through restraint, clarity, and cohesion. By reducing visual clutter, aligning the typography with the dramatic photography, and using a limited color palette, the design creates a strong hierarchy that guides the reader effortlessly. The image becomes the hero, while the refined text placement and consistent typographic voice provide balance and sophistication. This approach transforms the cover into a striking, artful statement that communicates both style and substance.
