This project focuses on redesigning the printed menu and logo for the Columbia Restaurant, a historic dining institution in Tampa, FL. The goal was to refine the user experience of the menu while honoring the restaurant’s Spanish-Cuban heritage and elegant, timeless identity.

Design decisions focused on enhancing readability and visual flow, employing a consistent typographic hierarchy, intuitive section divisions, and ample white space to prevent overwhelming the reader. Visual elements and color choices draw inspiration from the Columbia’s historic tilework, branding, and architectural details, blending tradition with modern usability. Folding and sizing considerations were integrated to create a menu that feels tactile, approachable, and aligned with the restaurant’s upscale dining experience.

By treating the menu as both a practical tool and a storytelling artifact, this redesign elevates the dining experience and reinforces Columbia’s legacy through thoughtful design.
